Who is Art Studio 500?
History
Originally incorporated in 1980 as Art Farm Inc., located in the rural setting of Apex, North Carolina, our offices and studios were established in a remodeled 150 year old farm house and tobbacco barn on Hwy 64 west. Art Farm Inc. was recognized for 27 years as a "State of the Art" full service graphics studio, advertising agency and service bureau, working with many large companies in the area such as Glaxo, Burroughs Wellcome, Nortel, IBM, Firetrol, ARO (Army Research Office), Bayer, Adams Concrete Products, Hardees Food Systems, Golden Corral and many other small to midsize busineses. In 2003 the property was sold to make way for progress in the expansion of the intersection of Hwy 64, Hwy 55, and the I 540 outer loop. The buildings were dismantled to the foundations and moved to Morehead City, NC.
With a long standing love of the Carteret County beach areas and the desire to contribute to the economic growth of the area, we purchased the 100 year old Tide Water Power and Electric Company building at 500 Arendell Steet in Morehead City. The aged masonry shell of a building overlooking the downtown Morehead City waterfront was redesigned, remodeled and rebuilt with the salvaged antique architectural elements of "the farm" to become the new base of operations for the business. This massive undertaking and restructuring process, adding new technologies, capabilites, and equipment has taken 5 years to accomplish. Hence the the new name and birth of Art Studio 500 .
